Learn the fundamental skills of jewelry making. Introduction to hammering, chasing, soldering, torches, flex shafts, polishers and more! We will begin with fabricating and soldering copper and move on to sterling silver. Learn to do basic sterling bezel setting of cabochons, found sea glass, stones etc. The sky is the limit! Bring ideas, or design your own piece from scratch! Individual instruction, close-up demonstrations, and hands-on experience.

Class is suitable for all artists aged 10 and over! Contact to set up instruction for younger children.

Fee includes use of studio tools, anvil, torches, flex shaft and starter copper. All sterling silver will be purchased separately after the first class, and be determined by what you would like to make. Cost of silver averages $20-$40

Deepen your knowledge and practice of silversmithing! This class will offer the students who have taken Introduction to silversmithing, or have a past history with silversmithing, a chance to push their practice, hone their skills, and find their own voice and esthetic! In this class the student will have the opportunity to dictate what they want to work on and what they want to create. We will work together to problem solve and achieve their vision while solidifying the basic skills needed for silversmithing.

Join me for a 2 1/2 hr workshop and leave with a piece of copper jewelry! Bring your partner, your kids, or your friends for a fun filled day of metalworking. No experience necessary! In this class I will introduce the basics of soldering with a torch, hammering and polishing! You will have a choice to make a copper multi wrap ring, bangle bracelet or pendant stamped with words of your choosing, cuff ring or bracelet, or simple band ring.
